Desine fata devm flecti sperare precando” is a promotional demo for the upcoming full-length album from Téleos. The aim of this release is to show Téleos' orientation towards melodic black metal with some symphonic accents. This concept will be fully developed on the full-length album. Some of the songs featured on the demo will be re-recorded for the album with a different approach in terms of sound production but keeping the most basic aspects of songwriting and arranging. In consequence, the remaining songs will remain as
unique pieces of this demo, at least considering the plans for the first full-length album.Conceptually, in this demo two topics are widely explored that will also be further explored in the full-length album. These are two consequences of the performance of the human intellect: the shaping of the world and nature as we know it, and the responsibility we have for our actions. These two consequences are lost sight of in the context of the emergence of naive scientism and pseudoscience respectively. Téleos is an attempt to show the urgency of recovering our responsibility for our actions (without unjustifiably invoking the action of
deities that are also products of our intellect) and to reverse the results of the domination over nature that we have exercised since the dawn of Modernity.
